Trowbridge Law Office is an Oakland, California, based law practice dedicated to serving individuals and businesses in a variety of legal matters throughout California. TLO’s goal is to provide a wide spectrum of legal services to its clients, who can then, freed from the worry and hassle of legal issues, use their time and emotions in doing things they do best, such as running their businesses or spending time with their families or friends.

Brian J. Trowbridge is continuing a legacy of providing legal services in Oakland, California to Clients throughout the Bay Area and other areas of California, that began with his father, Jeffery D. Trowbridge, more than thirty years ago. Brian J. Trowbridge worked with his father, Jeff from about 2013 to the end of 2021, when Jeff officially retired. Brian J. Trowbridge has skills and experience in many areas of the law. He represents clients including corporations, limited liability companies, sole proprietors, building contractors, design professionals, and others with general business, employment, contracting, leasing, real estate, construction, and litigation needs. He also represents individuals in a variety of matters, including those who have been injured in accidents, who are involved in real estate disputes, or who require estate planning or probate services.

Brian J. Trowbridge

Brian has assisted clients in business matters, transactions, and disputes, including business entity formation and operations, construction industry matters, commercial real estate, and provides general business advice to small and medium sized businesses.

Brian also provides legal services to individuals in various areas including personal injury and employment matters, estate planning and probate administration, trust and estate disputes, and a variety of other matters for individuals.

Before operating his own practice, Trowbridge Law Office, Brian joined his father’s practice in 2013 and worked with him until his retirement at the end of 2021. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he was a part time law clerk for Jeffery D. Trowbridge in 2010, 2011, and 2012.

Brian was a judicial clerk at the First District Court of Appeal, Division One, San Francisco, California, for Justice Sandra Margulies. Brian interned at the AIDS Legal Referral Panel in San Francisco, a non-profit organization providing free and low cost legal services. Brian also interned and performed contract work for a well known personal injury and employment law firm in San Francisco.

Jeffery D. Trowbridge, Predecessor, Retired 2021

Jeffery Trowbridge had 40 years of experience in a wide array of legal disciplines before his retirement at the end of 2021. He appeared before California Superior and Appellate Courts up and down the State, U.S. District Courts, U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, JAMS, the American Arbitration Association, and administrative hearing officers in various public agencies.

Jeffery Trowbridge is now retired but Brian Trowbridge continues to serve clients in Oakland, the Bay Area, and throughout California.
